Road Trip Begins

jqracing-arma-energy-vanSo it begins once again! Today I picked up Max Mรถrt and we began our epic EURO Road Trip! Today we are taking the boat over to Sweden, then drive all day through Sweden and Denmark to Germany. There we will find some more than likely economical and sketchy place to spend the night, before heading to…well I don’t even know exactly, but somewhere further south in Germany. This week end we are racing at LA SpeedWay in….somewhere in Germany. Then next weeks Monday we head to France, to spend some time with Rayan Medjoubi and his family. We will together prepare for the Euros. Rayan left JQ, but we still love him…that bastard!!!

More later. Now we need to film some road trip video.

BittyDesign Over

IMG_3898[1]Today we went back to the track for some more testing. Track is so much fun! Tonight I flew home, and now in about 20h I am taking the boat over to Sweden and the roadtrip to the Euros begins!

Thank you to all the JQRacers at the Bittydesign Euro contest. I will post a picture report later on!

Why does Italy have 3rd world internet?

2016 Nordics, Sweden In Pictures

IMG_3758

It all started on the boat over to Sweden with some of Kimi’s new ICEMAN Longdrink.

IMG_3759

Some people had too many longdrinks and missed the arrival. I had to drive the camper off the boat before they threw it in the sea, and then picked these two bastards up at the bus stop.

IMG_3784

Look at that beauty!

IMG_3765

Max was super excited to be at the Nordics. This is Max super excited.

IMG_3767

Arto (D2) is trying to remember if he changed his clutchbell bearings in 2011 or 2012.

IMG_3768

John “Jesus” Sandberg was back racing. With his “flickmobil”. He was in the lowest main, but bumped after I gave him the “are you kidding me look” as we checked the schedule for Sunday, with an 8am start. I think everyone loves Jesus, he is a great guy.

IMG_3770

Mr Full Throttle Max Johansson somehow, SOMEHOW didn’t fly off this rather tight high grip challenging track, and made the main, finishing 7th. He has improved massively and will keep improving if he sticks to it. Max is agro, I love it. His grandfather is funny too. Awesome team.

IMG_3771

Wowaweewaa!

We decided to be rebels and pitted out in the camping area. This was the walk to the track we took, filled with hope and dreams.

These guys told me to stop driving like a….like a….I can’t think of an appropriate term that’s not sexist or otherwise inappropriate. Like a…like me. I had to be more aggressive, fuck it, and just pull the trigger and hold on. Well after I just missed TQ in Q3 and finally got it in Q5 they were ready to take all the credit. Of course!

IMG_3782

Look at that sexy thing! Not the wheel.

IMG_3778

Botkyrka Club organised a banquet which was really nice. I forgot to take a picture of the food, but as you can see, it was popular!

IMG_3783

Checking the idle before the final!

It was really fun racing with David & Christoffer for the first 10-15 min, and then Coffe for another 30min after that!

Car was good, car was good!

Car was good, car was good!

When you turn over 100 laps you know that’s a serious race you just completed.

IMG_3795

When I returned to “Camp Finland” the camper vans had gone. And left in the dust was this kid. I suddenly had become responsible for this innocent little boy in a foreign country. I feel like this was a test devised by his mom, a warm up you could say for our road trip to Spain next month. I don’t know why they don’t trust me, nothing ever goes wrong on my world tours….

IMG_3797

Sometimes things need to go right, even for the most stubborn of us. I tell you….

IMG_3799

I told you everyone loves Jesus, right? Max and me #rcgypsied it in style this time. Thank you, happy days!

IMG_3804

On Sunday night, after tucking Max into bed, we headed out to celebrate a Finn kicking all the Swedish guys asses once again. It was good.

IMG_3806

As I said, it was good!

We arrived home to this. :-D

We arrived home to this. ๐Ÿ˜€

IMG_3808

We had an epic breakfast. OH MAN!

IMG_3813

Monday and Tuesday we spent here, at the epic new Eskilstuna facility.

Scandinavia, so clean and so organised.

RC Racing is hard work, seriously. This guy couldn’t handle it.

JQRacing Race Van and heading to the Nordics

jqracing-van

Today I picked up our new Race Van for Europe! We will get it wrapped, hopefully as nicely as the one in America. The idea is to drive to the Euros in Spain, and stop in Germany and France on the way. More details on that later. Maybe stop in more places on the way back, let’s see. Just let me know! A bit of a Euro Trip coming up regardless. But now I am heading over to Sweden for the Nordics, need to run, got a boat to catch!

Euro Road Trip?

IMG_3381Looks like I may be going to do some racing and some business in Europe before the Euros, at least Germany and France. That’s nice! I like!

Expanding Your Horizons

Stop-Breaking-The-Law

I used to wonder how some people could be so stupid. For example, if Trump says all Muslims should wear some sort of identification, and people cheer that idea, I just look at them and wonder, what the fuck is wrong with you? Same if I see someone respond to “Black Lives Matter” with “All Lives Matter”. Well that’s kind of the point genius. Would you understand it better if I told you a story of someone with a sign reading “Jewish Lives Matter” in Germany in the 1940s? Would you tell them, “No, all lives matter”?

I realised something over the past years. A persons understanding of the world is directly related to their personal horisons. Some people wear blinkers. They have never traveled, they don’t have friends much different than themselves, they haven’t peeked at history much. I get it. Their reality is very different from my own. They form their opinions by pulling from an extremely limited pool of ideas. To them Muslim really can = terrorist, and to them it really can seem like a good idea for the Muslims in America to wear identification. I used to think that if pressed, then surely being forced to think about it everyone would realise how dangerous and stupid that would be, but unfortunately I don’t think that’s the case. Most probably would, but far too many would not. The developing world has further to go in this respect, but it is disappointing to see how backward a lot of people are all around the most developed and wealthy western world. Have we not learned anything from history?

I think that a lot of the problems in the world would be solved if governments, instead of prioritising military and corporate spending, let’s face it, their own pockets, instead focused a bit more on providing quality education for people. Education is key, it’s the only way forward, it’s not that hard to figure that out.

I have been expanding my own horisons lately. I did a 7000 mile roadtrip, and now I have a whole new understanding of what a long drive is ๐Ÿ˜€ My horisons have shifted :-). I also met a lot of different people and had some good discussions with people who have very different viewpoints from my own. I can understand and appreciate better where they are coming from. I think it would be a good idea for people to keep pushing their horisons further and further throughout their life.

When You Think Your Life Sucks …

Back Home

arma-dnc-75

Finally after 6 months or so, I am heading home to Finland for the next weeks. Not 100% sure when the next trip will be. Now it’s time to focus on sales and related tasks, along with preparing for the Euros and Worlds. I’m looking forward to staying in one place for a while and get shit done! It’s hard to make progress when traveling and promoting the brand, other than by building a larger network. When you stay in one place and focus on your job, it’s possible to make progress, and that is what I intend to do, on every level. It will be a busy summer, and I am really looking forward to applying all the things I have learned over the past 6 months to my business, as well as try to go to the track and improve my driving. I REALLY enjoy both the Euros and Worlds tracks, and it would be great to prepare well and achieve good results at both.

The Finland Dude Goes Home!

13 years ago when I was 19 years old I headed to America for 3 months. I didn’t know anyone there, and looking back my parents must have been a bit worried. Specially since I didn’t have a cell phone, and didn’t bother calling them for a couple of weeks. I am such an asshole.

Anyway, when I left America I made a post on the legendary SGrid thanking people who helped me Forrest Gump myself through those 3 months, and to this day people seem to remember that post. So here is The Finland Dude Goes Home 2016

Big thank you to J Smoker, the biggest reason for me being able to stay over in America for so long, as I stay at his house for practically free #rcgypsy. I owe you dude!

Gar## Hag##### from Revelation Raceway doesn't like being famous. Personally I think he is hiding from the Armenian mafia. Whatever the reason may be, thank you for selling a ton of JQRacing stuff and for providing me with a track whenever I need it!

Big thank you to the biggest asshole that I really like. Degani is a funny character, and helped me out a lot. Not only did I stay at his house for a few weeks, he was my personal chauffeur, got my van all checked and fixed up before the my road trip, and went with me to the races, figuring out setups and ideas for the car. he probably scammed me at some point but it's all good!

Thank you to Nick Hernandez for maintaining JQ USA Operations and keeping me positive. Most up beat guy I have ever met.
